So this past weekend we got some snow.

Strike that.

Lots of snow.

So much snow, that we lost power all day.

Normally on a Friday, I work throughout the day and the rest of the family does their normal stuff.

A usual weekday working from home.

But this Friday—a Friday without any power—gave us a snapshot of life without electricity.

And I can tell you, between having no way to power the Internet, computers, televisions or tablets, the piece of technology we missed the most was: heat.
